The Lucerne Valley High School girls soccer team faced a tough Big Bear squad on Wednesday at home.
The Big Bear team spread their offensive prowess around with all 16 members scoring a goal. One player, Sydney Peterson, scored two.
Due to the aggressive offensive attack by Big Bear, the Lucerne Valley goal tender worked hard throughout the game, blocking several goals in the process.
Big Bear is 9-6-2. Following Wednesday’s game, the Lady Mustangs were 1-11. They face the Academy of Careers & Exploration on Friday, Feb. 2, in Helendale and then come back home on Feb. 5 to face another struggling team, Excelsior Charter of Victorville, which has a record of 0-18. Excelsior forfeited to Lucerne Valley on Jan. 5.
The Lucerne Valley finishes its season on Feb. 7 at Riverside Prep.
