While most students were taking week off for Spring Break, the Mustang golf team played their third match of the season on Thursday, March 31st, an event that brought all Cross Valley League teams together. Junior Ian Collins led the way with a score of 59 followed by fellow 11th-grader Denver Staup with 63 and freshman Dylan shooting a score of 68.
Earlier on March 25th, head golf coach Robert MacDonald and the High School Golf team traveled to Hesperia for their second match of the year. The boys all showed great improvement, including Ian who led the Mustangs with a 66 and Denver shooting a 67, just 1 stroke behind Ian. Also, the 9th-grader Dylan and sophomore Evan Herriman would help by each shooting a 69. Dylan Hileman was ranked #14 out of the entire conference in golf!
The 2022 Mustang golf season officially began on March 21st as the team headed over to Helendale for their first match of the year. Freshman Dylan Hileman would lead the Mustangs, as he would win a hole by shooting 1 over on a par 3, for the day he would shoot a 67 on a challenging course. Sophomore Evan Herriman would help the team out by coming in second on the team behind Dylan.
