Mustang Track & Field

Lucerne Valley High School track and field athletes are currently working on their disciplines for the start of the 2022 season. Track meets will again be at Riverside Prep High School this year. The Mustangs’ first track meet is on Wednesday, March 2nd at 4PM.
 
Promising athletes include senior Lukas King for shot put, sophomore Dylnn Cagle in the 1600 and 3200, and freshman Cheyenne Flowers in the 100-meter dash, according to Head Coach Guillermo Betancourt.

Seventh-grader Dutch Demke, who finished fourth in the Cross Valley League’s Middle School Cross Country finals last fall, has been practicing with the team in preparation for next year’s cross country season. He is looking promising and hopes to be a top contender for the middle school. Middle School cross country coach Daniel Lyon serves as assistant coach of the Mustang track and field team.
