A team of student newspaper stringers continues writing feature articles for the Lucerne Valley edition of the Pulse newspaper. Mentored by LVMHS staff teacher David Prouty, the student program is assisted by LVMHS office manager Andrea Moretz and overseen by Rusty LaGrange.
Students Yuccel Rochin Limones and Patricia Vick wrote an article on the high schools soccer and basketball teams traveling to the Catalina Island town of Avalon. The girls soccer team came away with a 1-0 victory over the host team.
Yessenia Cazales and Nathan Bhojwani wrote an article about Mr. Jason Story, who recently joined the district as co-principal of the Middle High School.
Students Christian Barajas, Alexis Hale, Eileensurii Davalos and Dusty Ward penned a story on the Lady Mustangs’ historic season that saw the team go undefeated in league and 21-8 overall. Along the way, Coach Brandon Barkley passed another historic mark — winning his 100th career game.
