Middle School Volleyball Team B Caps ‘Excellent’ Season

Lucerne Valley Middle School’s Team B volleyball team played their first playoff game yesterday (October 21) in Loma Linda, facing the Roadrunners of Loma Linda Academy.

“Amya Kelley, Alyssa Jackson, Carlie Jo Lacey and Annalea Latin had some amazing serves to keep the Colts in the game,” said Sarah Courtney, who shares B Team coaching duties with Amanda Nichols. “Emmorie Williams,  Lynsey Johnson, Yoselin Trujillo, Parker Vacca had some of their best receiving of the year against an extremely tough serving team. Briana Torres had an excellent game and the play of the night with her save off the net to help keep the Colt’s hopes alive.”

In the end the Loma Linda Roadrunners would take the win over the Colts in three sets: first set, 25-18; second set, 25-13; and third set, 25-15.

“The Colts had an excellent season of volleyball and we cannot wait for next year!” Coach Courtney said.
